In December 2022, Laser Game Evolution centres rallied together for the Bardet-Biedl Syndrome association by organising a charity campaign in aid of research.
€41,720 was raised during this month of mobilisation, giving hope to sufferers of this rare disease that is little known to the general public.
The Bardet-Biedl Syndrome Association
The aim of the association is to inform patients and connect them with each other so they do not feel alone in their fight against this syndrome.
It also aims to raise funds for research, particularly to fight against retinitis pigmentosa, a severely disabling disease that causes the progressive degeneration of light-sensitive cells in the retina; in other words, the patients' vision gradually disappears.
The December 2022 campaign
Laser Game Evolution centres were equipped with communication materials highlighting this syndrome, lost among 7,000 other rare diseases.
At the end of December 2022, the participating centres donated a portion of their turnover to the Bardet-Biedl Syndrome association. The sum amounts to €41,720, a great fundraising effort that gives sufferers hope.
